Technical Support Engineer
K-Patents, Inc. is looking for a highly-qualified and motivated business developer with experience of technical sales and engineering background to lead our nationwide sales growth efforts in the United States.

We
manufacture specialized analyzers and digital process refractometers for in-line liquid measurement in industrial process control. The company was founded in 1978 and today, K-Patents ranks as the technology and market leader, and as the fastest grown supplier of process refractometers in the world. K-Patents products are delivered to over 80 countries. The sales representative network covers 45 countries and the US Headquarters in Naperville, IL handles over 20 sales agents in the U.S.

The Job
The Technical Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales and territory management in conjunction with the established sales representative network. We provide process refractometers with various designs and systems for applications ranging from the most demanding and complex to the basic and common. Clients include manufacturing companies and original equipment manufacturers in the sugar, food, pulp and paper, chemical, petrochemical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and other industries. Often the solutions are engineered to the individual client's needs and therefore require highly consultative solution sales skills.

Your Work Activities involve
  • Territory management
  • Searching for new clients and applications, and maximizing customer potential
  • Travelling to visit clients in liaison with local sales representative
  • Performing technical and sales presentations and demonstrating how client operations can be improved with the K-Patents technology
  • Providing quotations and co-ordinating sales projects
  • Providing technical sales assistance and product education to sales representatives
  • Offering start-up and after sales support services to clients
You
have a BS in an Engineering discipline (preferably in Chemical Engineering) and ability to develop expert knowledge of our process refractometer line and a large variety of industrial process applications to competently sell by focusing on client's needs and to respond effectively to clients' queries. Understanding of process instrumentation and process industries, as well as experience in industrial sales, are required. You have good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, problem solving ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of time.

Your Location
will be in our Regional U.S. Headquarters in Naperville, IL (35 miles west of Chicago).
